Children's TherAplay #Horsepower500

You did it!

600 of you packed the stands to celebrate the kiddos, to create an afternoon they’ll long remember, to laugh and cheer and maybe even tear up a little as their joy overflowed and the world became a little brighter.

The heart you gave, the funds you contributed, the awareness you raised -- we will invest all of it well, putting it right back into the therapies that help these kiddos and their families walk taller and shine brighter. Thank you.

NASCAR at the #Horsepower500?

Over the years The Tony Stewart Foundation (TSF), has granted tens of thousands of dollars to at Children’s TherAplay. For example, when founding facility service dog Dorian was diagnosed with cancer in 2015, TSF was among the first to contribute towards Dorian’s treatment. To say Tony Stewart is a hero of ours would be an understatement.

Tony served as our honorary flagger for the 2017 race and, over Memorial Day weekend, will drive a parade lap in the upcoming Indianapolis 500 in the 1961 Indy 500-winning racecar belonging to a hero of his: AJ Foyt. So naturally Jay Howard, Tony’s Team One Cure driver for the upcoming Indy 500, was partnered with Dorian’s successor, our AJ.

“It’s amazing,” said Howard, who will pilot the No. 77 Team One Cure Honda in this month’s Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil. “What they do here [at Children's TherAplay], the interaction between animals and kids is phenomenal, and Tony Stewart is a big supporter of (Children’s TherAplay). He had told me a little bit about it before I came here. But when you see what goes on here, it’s just mind-blowing.”

And the fans go wild!

We could never thank all of you enough for the once-in-a-lifetime experience Parker [pictured above] had at the #Horsepower500.

Our once shy, reserved, self-conscious boy was on top of the world, and exclaimed, "I want to play 'race day' EVERY YEAR!" Mr. Charlie, as Parker called him, was like an old friend, and one of the warmest, most genuine people we could ever have the privilege of meeting. Thank you again!!

— Jenny, Parker’s mother
